Resize an image for publication/internet in Photoshop (or Elements)

February 2, 2017

This is important for those who are artists and are either submitting work for a juried or curated  show – they often have standards with

a) naming
b) size of image (either in inches or pixels)
c) pixels
d) type of file – JPG, PSD, TIF, GIF

Even if you are not an expert at Photoshop, these tips will help you accomplishing this work correctly so you will be accepted and/or published.  The tips also work with any version of Photoshop or Elements – even their earliest versions!

Even if you’re a blogger, you need to know how to get the images correctly sized so download speeds are not slow and the image doesn’t go across 7 screens!
