Create random numbers in Excel

Many of you probably know how to create a set of random text in Word – it is =rand()

This same function works in Excel – you will get this with each entry (of course you can copy to fill a range and get varied results – a great way to help test some formulas.

=rand() – results less than 1

=rand()*100 – values between 0 and 100

=randbetween(low,high) will gives results between a specific number range, i.e., 25 to 50
