Restore old photos with adjustment layers

April 10, 2013

Adjustment layers are a non-invasive way to work on photos.  I had a batch of old photos from my childhood that were taken at the Grand Canyon.  Faded, they did not preserve the memories I have.  By using adjustment layers in the first photo, I put them into the other photos and ended up with more vibrant images from my childhood.

The video below is slightly muffled with the sound but is understandable.  It’s a huge time saver when working with a batch of images that need restoration.  Even if you only have a half dozen, it can readily save a good 30-60 minutes of time.  Happy retouching!
