Charts – Excel 2010/2007 – formatting dates

Often we need dates in charts.  The video below demonstrations how to do this.  When entering a date in Excel, it will automatically format with the current year if you type “10/22” (don’t type in the quotes) so it will appear as the current year.  If you need to enter an earlier (or future) year, type in “10/22/11” for last year.

To simplify the chart, we may only  want the week, month, or year to appear in the chart.
