Many of us use Photoshop nowadays to improve photos.  My attitude is the 30 second rule…if you can’t make it better in 30 seconds, skip it.  Of course there are times when you’ll spend 30 minutes fixing up a photo that had poor lighting or contrast.  Of you may wish to turn a photo into an abstract.  I often enjoy using the Vibrancy feature to make a photo’s colors more lush/intense.  It works great with flowers and scenery.  However, don’t push it up too far or the image will look fake.

All I did in this photo was to use the vibrance and lighting adjustment layers.  The green may be a bit bright but I like that effect.   The before picture is on top, the revised is underneath.  What do you think?
