The Healing Brush – Photoshop and Photoshop Elements

June 19, 2012

The Healing brush is a very useful tool to help clean up a photo.  Often we have telephone wires, fire hydrants, signs that we don’t want in a photo.  This tool was introduced into Elements 9 and Photoshop CS which is an often overlooked yet useful tool.  One thing I’ve discovered is that you may have to use the tool several times for it to work.  Sometimes the first pass may be dreadful, but after a while, it looks good.  In rare cases it will not work (i.e. a garbage can taking up HALF of the photo!)

The link in this YouTube video is less than 3 minutes long provides detailed instructions.
